Description

We are looking for an IT Manager to head our global IT operations at Bangalore, India. You will be responsible to define, design, implement and maintain IT systems and infrastructure requirements for entire company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for IT operations for the company (hardware and software)
  • Understand internal processes and recommend IT solutions (hardware and software)
  • Strong technical background to analyze large IT systems and recommend how to implement their features in the company (examples: Microsoft CRM, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, etc.)
  • Define best practices to use IT systems
  • Train and support internal users worldwide to encourage adoption of IT systems to automate and improve internal processes
  • Create and support IT infrastructure for our customers, both at our premises for hosted solutions and at customer sites as part of on-premise implementations
  • Service requests of global Engineering team, product management, QA, technical support and sales teams for various levels of IT infrastructure support
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships for all hardware and software requirements as they relate to IT operations of the company
  • Maintain licensing compliance for all hardware and software systems
  • Manage a small team of system administrators

Requirements

  • Must possess either a B.E. / B.Tech. /M.C.A. / M.Tech. /M.S. degree in computer science or related technical field
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in managing IT systems and IT infrastructure
  • Strong experience in managing servers, networks, file servers, backup servers and database servers
  • Strong experience in implementing and managing software engineering systems (Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, QA Testing Systems, etc.)
  • Strong experience in implementing and managing business systems (Microsoft CRM, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Windows server operating systems ( Windows 2003 server, Windows 2008 server)
  • Experience in following:
    - Hardware sizing for new servers
    - Domain and users administration
    - Database Management, backup, restoration
    - Virtualization ( Virtual PC / VMware / Virtual Server , Hyper-V )
    - System monitoring through logs
    - Network Maintenance ( Switches , Routers, WiFi )
    - Anti-virus and central firewall
  • Excellent communication skills
