What is Aurigo's joint development with Microsoft Dynamics AX?
Aurigo Software is working on a joint development initiative with Microsoft in developing integration connectors between Aurigo's Aurigo BRIX 5.1 Enterprise and Microsoft's Microsoft Dynamics AX Platform using the Application Integration Framework (AIF). With these connectors, end customers can now deploy the combined Aurigo BRIX 5.1-Microsoft Dynamics AX offering as their end-to-end ERP solution. Seamless communication between Dynamics AX Financials, General Ledger, Inventory and Project management modules and Aurigo BRIX 5.1 product modules (including Estimator, BRIX Contract and BRIX Inspect) makes for a very robust enterprise class automation solution for the construction Industry.
How does Aurigo BRIX 5.1 Integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX help customers?
Aurigo BRIX 5.1 assists construction project stakeholders (owners and contractors included) in estimating, monitoring and tracking projects using web and mobile technologies. The Mobile and PocketPC components enable site connectivity, a crucial component in the construction industry. A tight integration with Dynamic AX will substantially increase the value to the customer, making the offering more comprehensive than any solution in the market today from an ERP standpoint. The integration is expected to take the form of Dynamic AX customization and will involve implementing specific Aurigo BRIX 5.1 modules in Dynamics AX; and the other modules in Aurigo BRIX 5.1 accessing information in Dynamics AX using the Application Integration Framework (AIF).
The integration will significantly reduce data redundancy and improve traceability. Dynamics AX will store and process the various masters (codes, contractor details, etc.), stores (material tracking), fund management (fund sources and payments), assets etc. with Aurigo BRIX 5.1 accessing the necessary information. Aurigo BRIX 5.1 will provide the domain specific workflows and mobility and post the information to Dynamics AX where appropriate.
In short, customers from the construction ecosystem that would normally have gone by default toward investing in large scale custom implementations of SAP or Oracle, now have a cost effective Microsoft solution catered to the construction industry to choose.
