Port of Portland replaces all construction planning and program management legacy systems with Aurigo Masterworks Cloud
The Port of Portland:
- Three airports, including PDX
- 19 million travelers through PDX each year
- Four marine terminals
- 4 million CY of dredge pumping
- Five industrial parks
- $1B five-year capital programs portfolio
The Port of Portland was using multiple disparate systems to manage different parts of capital projects, including JD Edwards ERP, Primavera project management, Microsoft SharePoint for document archival, and Excel for many manual processes. The disjointed systems left the team vulnerable to errors and with a lack of visibility to project status.
The evaluation team at the Port of Portland evaluated eight products, and Aurigo scored the highest on every evaluation criteria in the RFP. Aurigo was selected over e-Builder and CIP Planner thanks to the ease of use and ability to integrate within the agency’s existing IT environment. Aurigo Masterworks has been configured to manage the business case request and project approvals, portfolio creation and management, project budgets, resources, etc.
The Port of Portland’s 1,000 users now use Aurigo Masterworks Cloud to manage their $1 billion, five-year capital program portfolio. They now have a single system to manage all financial and project information across all their divisions. They utilize Masterworks Cloud for short- and long-term portfolio scenario analysis to continuously improve planning and tracking of capital projects.
