At Aurigo Software Technologies, Inc. (“Aurigo”), we recognize the importance of protecting your Personal Information. We are committed to processing it responsibly. We are also committed to complying with applicable data protection laws in all countries in which we operate.

1. Scope of this privacy notice

Aurigo collects, processes, and shares personal information in order to run its day-to-day operations and provide products and services for your use. This notice applies to visitors to our websites and Aurigo-operated social media sites (the “Sites”). This notice describes Aurigo’s general privacy practices that apply to such Personal Information collection and use, including:

  • Personal information we are collecting.
  • Why we are collecting personal information.
  • How personal information is collected.
  • Sharing personal information.
  • How personal information is stored and protected.
  • Your rights regarding personal information.
  • How to contact us.

This Notice does not apply to:

  • Personal Information relating to employees, applicants for employment, or contractors providing services to Aurigo.
  • User content that is not collected through the Sites is instead stored in our products and services.
  • Instances where we process personal information on behalf of another organization. In this latter case, please contact the organization for whom we are processing information regarding their privacy practices.

2. Personal information we collect and why

In this notice, we refer to “Personal Information.” This is any information that is related to an identified or identifiable person. We collect Personal Information such as:

  • Your contact information, which may include items like your name, email address, address, or telephone number. This information is provided on a voluntary basis.
  • Your company name and the role you fill. This information is provided on a voluntary basis. Information about your computer hardware and software, like your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses.

Aurigo uses your Personal Information to operate our website and deliver the services you have requested. We also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from us and our affiliates. We may also contact you via surveys to gather your opinion on current services or potential new services that may be offered.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose Personal Information through Aurigo’s public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. (Note: Aurigo does not read any of your private online communications.) We encourage you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from Aurigo Software Technologies, Inc., so that you can understand how those websites collect, use, and share your information. Aurigo is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of Aurigo and our family of websites.

3. How personal information is collected

We collect Personal Information in four ways:

  • We collect Personal Information you provide to us in optional, voluntary submissions such as registration forms, user profiles, promotional signups, sweepstakes/contest entries, requests for customer service, and software and mobile applications downloads.
  • We may collect some Personal Information automatically to perform a contract with you, where we have legal obligations to do so, or where our legitimate interests permit such collection.
  • We may also obtain information, including Personal Information, from third-party sources to perform a contract with you, where we have a legal obligation to do so, or where our legitimate interests permit such collection. If we directly combine information from third parties with Personal Information we have collected, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information and handle it in accordance with this Notice.
  • In addition, please note we may solicit third parties to collect Personal Information on our behalf, such as social media platform providers and, in such cases, we instruct those third parties to comply with this Notice and all applicable data protection laws.

On behalf of our customers, we act as a processor of Personal Information through our online services. In this situation, this Notice does not apply.

3.1 Passive data collection

3.1.1 Analytics tools

We use analytics tools and other third-party technologies to collect information in the form of various usage and user metrics when you interact with, use, or install Aurigo Sites and/or Services. These tools and technologies collect and analyze certain types of information, including cookies, IP addresses, device and software identifiers, referring and exit URLs, onsite behavior and usage information, feature use metrics and statistics, usage and purchase history, MAC Address, mobile unique device ID, and other similar information (referred to as “Collected Data”).

The third parties that provide these analytics tools may also use the Collected Data with other information they have independently gathered from other websites and/or other online or mobile products and services you have used or interacted with, pursuant to their own policies or privacy notices. In addition to our use of technologies as described herein, we may permit certain third-party companies to help us tailor advertising we think may be of interest to you based on your use of our Sites and/or Services and to otherwise collect and use data about your use of our Sites and/or Services. 3.1.2 Cookies

We may use a variety of methods, including “cookies,” to collect information.

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. The contents of these cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognizes that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device and save information between website pages or online sessions.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, such as letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving the user experience. They can also help to ensure the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

3.1.2.1 Optional cookies

3.1.2.1.1. Marketing cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They are used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not directly store Personal Information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

3.1.2.2.2 Performance cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, these services may not function properly.

3.1.2.2.3 Statistic cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. All information these cookies collect is anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site, nor monitor its performance.

3.1.2.2 Always active cookies

3.1.2.2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any Personal Information.

3.1.4 Personal information relating to children

We do not knowingly seek or collect Personal Information from users under the age of 16 (a “Child”). In the event we learn we have collected Personal Information from a Child without parental or guardian consent, we will delete that Personal Information as quickly as possible. If you believe a Child may have provided us Personal Information, please use the Data Subject Request Form to request deletion of this data or contact us at privacy@aurigo.com.

4. Sharing personal information

We do not share your Personal Information with third parties except as noted below. We may share your Personal Information: as necessary to maintain business operations, such as with vendors working on our behalf (for example, delivery of services and digital advertising); as required by law or to respond to legal process; to maintain the security of our products; to monitor and enforce our rights as a licensor; to protect Aurigo’s customers, employees, rights, or property; as part of a merger or acquisition; or with your express consent.

All third parties with whom we share Personal Information may only use it to provide these services to Aurigo and are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Aurigo does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties. We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. However, in those cases, your Personal Information is not transferred to the third party.

5. How the personal information is stored and protected

5.1 Storage of personal information

Personal Information collected by Aurigo may be stored and processed in any country where Aurigo, its processors, or its sub-processors operate and/or have facilities, including, but not limited to, the United States. We take steps to ensure that the data we collect, as outlined above, is processed according to this Notice and the requirements of applicable law relating to the Personal Information. 

5.2 Protecting personal information

Aurigo uses a variety of reasonable technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. While these safeguards are designed to protect your Personal Information, no security system is impenetrable. Please be aware that due to the inherent nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the internet, while stored on our systems, or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others. Accordingly, we encourage you to take steps to protect the security of your user account information, login, and password.

5.3 Retention of personal information

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the transactions you have requested. Additionally, we retain the information for other legitimate purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and improving our products. Because these needs can vary for different data types, the context of our interactions with you or your use of products, actual data retention periods can vary significantly.

Retention of your Personal Information depends on the type of data, the purpose for which we process the data, and is governed by the subscription agreement under which you are using Aurigo products. Your Personal Information will only be retained for the duration necessary to accomplish the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or per any contracted subscription agreement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Please be aware that when we collect Personal Information as a processor on behalf of the controller, the controller is the party who provides instructions on deleting or anonymizing the Personal Information.

5.4 Transfer of personal information

Personal Information that is processed as part of Aurigo operations may be transferred to the United States, India, or another Aurigo location. This information will be transferred using appropriate security measures and will follow the requirements listed by Standard Contractual Clauses as provided by appropriate supervisory authorities.

6. Your rights regarding the personal information we collect about you

With some restrictions, you may make certain requests with regard to your Personal Information. Please contact our Privacy Office, privacy@aurigo.com, with these requests or submit these requests to our Data Subject Request portal. To request these rights from organizations for which we provide service, please contact those organizations.

  • AccessYou may request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you once every twelve (12) months. You will not have to pay a fee to access your Personal Information.
  • Correction– You may request that we modify any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you.
  • Erasure– You may request that we delete elements of your information. Please note that it is not always possible to completely remove all of your information from our systems. This is often due to legal or regulatory requirements. Also, some data may remain on our backup media for a limited period of time.
  • Objection– You may request that specific processing activities not be taken with your information, such as marketing activities.
  • Restriction– You may request that your Personal Information is no longer processed under specific circumstances until further notice is provided to continue.
  • Automated Decisions– Aurigo does not make decisions solely based on automated means.

You may also change or cancel the marketing emails you currently receive from us by following the instructions found in our promotional emails. Please note that we will continue to send you communications about your business activities you undertake with us or use of our Site. This includes administrative communications and Site announcements.

You may file a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country or state if you believe your privacy rights have been violated or abused.

Aurigo Software Technologies, Inc. will occasionally update this Privacy Notice to reflect company and customer feedback. We encourage you to periodically review this Notice to be informed of how Aurigo is protecting your information.
