Message from our CEO on COVID-19
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is a difficult time for everyone. The uncertainty is unprecedented, and our hearts go out to those who have been affected directly or indirectly. Aurigo is dedicated not just to the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners, but also their communities and families.
We are 100% committed to business continuity. We understand that your success is vital to the safety and wellbeing of your communities. Our systems continue to operate reliably. You trust us to help power the infrastructure and transportation needs of your communities, and we will keep providing you with everything you need to plan and deliver ongoing programs for your city, county, or state.
In response to the current situation, we’ve implemented our business continuity plan — which examines our operations at every Aurigo location. We are taking several precautionary measures to ensure continued service to our customers.
1. First and foremost, our plan ensures the health and safety of our employees. We considered the recent news and announcements from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for Disease Control (CDC), and made the early decision to have employees who can perform their jobs remotely, work from home (WFH) through at least April 6th, 2020. We have offered extended sick leave for all employees who need it. We also temporarily suspended all business travel for 60 days. We are disinfecting workspaces, adopting social-distancing practices, and limiting meeting sizes. We installed thermal scanners at our R&D facility in India to screen employees or visitors who are unwell. These precautionary measures have been taken to limit the potential spread of the virus and ensure our ability to serve you, our customer, for the long term.
2. The good news is that Aurigo’s products are delivered entirely over the cloud and there will be no disruption to our cloud service. Since over 80% of our implementation services are delivered remotely, we are accustomed to collaborating and meeting deadlines while working from home. We are moving all previously scheduled onsite meetings to our web conferencing platform, Zoom, to minimize schedule disruptions. We will also work with each of our enterprise customers on a case by case basis to accommodate their specific needs at this time.
3. Starting April 15th, Aurigo is announcing a 6-month Open Collaboration Program for small- and mid-size agencies needing to deliver their infrastructure programs remotely. Aurigo Essentials Cloud will enable document sharing, construction management, and remote collaboration for organizations who do not currently have a system in place. We are waiving all fees for the first six months, and there is no compulsion to convert to a paid subscription at the end of this period.
Please take care of yourself and your families. Reach out to us if you need clarification or have any concerns. Our senior leadership team remains vigilant and is monitoring the situation in real time to respond rapidly as conditions evolve.
We are confident that with our combined efforts, we will get through this difficult situation together and emerge stronger.
